Wolf

The Wolf is a species of aggressive animal which roams the entire Map.

Wolves will attack if the player wanders too close to them, and they may cause infected wounds or bleeding. They will also attack the player's base.
Their howling in the distance will alert the player to their presence.

The player can use any weapon to defeat a Wolf but a thrown Spear (of any type), an Archer Bow or a Crossbow is most effective. A head shot will kill a Wolf outright. Hitting it anywhere else will cause it to chase the player. Eventually the wounded Wolf will bleed out and fall down dead.

Harvesting yields[]

A Wolf that has been killed must be transported to a Butcher Table to maximize the resources that can be harvested. The player can carry the Wolf (which causes the player to be encumbered and walk very slowly) or transport the Wolf in a Log Cart or on the back of the Truck. The player can also butcher the Wolf in the field, but fewer resources will be harvested.

As with other Animals (except the Crocodile), the health and damage stats of the Wolf can be customized in the AI section of the game's loading screen settings to make them fiercer or less dangerous opponents.
All predators can also be completely disabled in the loading screen settings.
