The Wire Pole is a multi-purpose pole-like structure with an overhanging beam that a Ceiling Lamp can be hung from. The Wire Pole can be placed on a Foundation or Ceiling or on the bare ground.
One intended purpose is to hold Power components such as a Control Panel and Junction Box to enable easy connection of a remotely placed device to a power source. For example, players may want to place an Oil Pump far from their base, but they do not wish to string wiring from their base to the remote location. By placing a Wire Pole with a Control Panel and a Junction Box on the ground at the remote location, the Oil Pump can be powered by using only two wires (one from the Control Panel to the Junction Box, and one from the Junction Box to the Oil Pump). A wire can also be pulled from the Junction Box and be attached to a Ceiling Lamp hanging from the same Wire Pole to power it.
Another intended purpose is to hold an Electrical Relay to enable the easy stringing of Wires over long distances to one or more Wire Poles. In this case a wire must be pulled from any powered Junction Box and attached to the Electrical Relay on the first Wire Pole. A wire can then be pulled from the Electrical Relay on the first pole and attached to an Electrical Relay on the next Wire Pole. This can be repeated as often as needed. A wire can also be pulled from any of the powered Electrical Relays and be attached to a Ceiling Lamp hanging from the same Wire Pole to power it.
The recipe for the Wire Pole is found in the Placeables section of the Build Menu under Power. It does not require any Technology Blueprints to build.
