The Truck is a vehicle that players can find in a damaged state in a random village location. Before the Truck can be driven, the player must repair it by looking at the damaged vehicle and adding the necessary resources as instructed on screen.
There is no need to add gasoline right away after repairing the Truck, since the truck's tank is half full when you find it.

Eventually the gas tank will need to be refilled. To do this, open the engine hood with E, open the inventory that contains a Gas Can, and drag a can to the fuel receptacle of the vehicle's gas tank.
Once the Truck has been repaired, a yellow marker will appear on the in-game Map designating the position of the vehicle.
When you enter the Truck the driving view is 1st person. The Truck's dashboard has fully functional gauges (speedometer, RPM, fuel).
The Truck doesn't take damage from Animals or Vambies, nor is it damaged when it crashes into boulders or Trees.
Controls[]
Instructions appear on screen in the upper right hand corner:
| Action | Key |
|---|---|
| Exit Truck | E |
| Start/Stop Engine | R |
| Flip | P |
| Headlights | K |
| Hand Brake | Space |
The ability to flip the Truck comes in handy if the vehicle gets stuck or flips over by driving on uneven terrain.
Headlights make driving in the dark more convenient.
The hand brake prevents the Truck from rolling and should be applied whenever the player wants to stop the vehicle.
If the Truck ever becomes so stuck that it cannot be driven or if the player has to leave it somewhere, for example because of the death of the player, the vehicle can instantly be recalled to the player's Garage by standing outside of the Garage, aiming at it and pressing E (default).
Cargo[]
The Truck has an integrated cargo box that can carry one of the following combinations:
• 22 Wood Logs
• 12 stacked Storage Containers
• 3 Stones Crates, with a possibility for 8 Containers on top of the Crates
• 6 Stones Crates stacked onto 4 Storage Containers, with a possibility for 4 Containers on top of the Crates
Logs can be added to the cargo box using the E, but Storage Containers and Stones Crates must be placed manually. These items do not snap into place. The Truck cannot be used to transport other crafted placeable items. A dead animal or an injured NPC can be transported on the back of the Truck in addition to the previously mentioned cargo.
It is advisable to not load Storage Containers onto the broken Truck before it is repaired, because the contents of the containers may not be accessible until the Truck is fully repaired.
