The Stone Forge is a simple early game smithy, the construction of which is one of the tasks assigned to the player in the game starter tutorial. The Stone Forge smelts Small Stones into Iron Fragments and smelts fragments and ores and shapes them into ingots. It has a receptacle for Fuel which must be lit with the player's Lighter and two receptacles for items requiring smelting.
A fully fueled Stone Forge will burn for 33 minutes, in real time.
Small Stones and pieces of ore can be transferred from the Inventory to one of the forge's receptacles by clicking on them in the Inventory with the key combination Left Alt +
.
Stacks of 5 Iron Fragments can be transferred from the Inventory to one of the forge's receptacles by clicking on them in the Inventory with the key combination ⇧ Left Shift +
.
The Stone Forge must be placed on a foundation or ceiling and it requires Roof, (Glass) Ceiling or Shelter over it to prevent its fire from extinguishing from rain or air moisture.
The recipe for the Stone Forge is found in the Placeables section of the Build Menu under Others.
