The Steel Spear is the most advanced spear version. The Steel Spear can be used as a stabbing melee weapon or as a thrown ranged weapon.
The Steel Spear is the best spear that the player can craft. It deals only slightly more damage than the Bone Spear, but it has a huge increase in durability. In addition, the durability of the Steel Spear can be completely restored by using the Grinder.
To use the Steel Spear the player must first equip it by pressing the number on the keyboard that corresponds to the tools/weapons slot that the Steel Spear occupies in the player's Inventory. To stab with the equipped Steel Spear the player must press 
. To throw the Steel Spear, the player must press and hold Left Ctrl+
to lift and aim the spear, and then press to hurl it. The Steel Spear has no drop when thrown, so the player should aim directly at the target.
Other spear versions are the Stone Spear and the Bone Spear.
