The Spike Trap is a craftable item used in base defense. Lined up in a row, Spike Traps form a defensive barricade that can injure Infected Enemies that get caught on the spikes and slowly bleed out and die. There is, however, a 20% chance that an enemy will do 100 damage to the trap. This will break a Spike Trap in one hit and not injure the enemy. The Iron Spike Trap has a higher durability and can withstand the 100 damage hit if its durability is above 100.
Predatory animals will attack Spike Traps like any other building section but they will not be injured by them.

A damaged Spike Trap can be repaired using an equipped Stone Hammer and can be upgraded by hitting it with the equipped Upgrade Tool.
A sufficient number of appropriate resources must be in the player's inventory for the repair or upgrade process to work.
