The Sheep is a passive animal which can be found roaming the entire Map. It will flee from the player and it can be very elusive.
Their bleating can be heard from a long distance.
The player can use any weapon to hunt it but a thrown Spear (of any type), an Archer Bow or a Crossbow is most effective, because the player will find it difficult to get close to the Sheep. A head shot will kill a Sheep outright. Hitting it anywhere else will cause it to flee, and the player will need to chase it and keep it in sight. Eventually the wounded Sheep will bleed out and fall down dead.
Harvesting yields[]
A Sheep that has been killed must be transported to a Butcher Table to maximize the resources that can be harvested. The player can carry the Sheep (which causes the player to be encumbered and walk very slowly) or transport the Sheep in a Log Cart or on the back of the Truck. The player can also butcher the Sheep in the field, but fewer resources will be harvested.
| Resource | Yield on Butcher Table | Yield in the field |
|---|---|---|
| Raw Meat | 4 | 1 or 2 |
| Raw Liver | 1 | 0 |
| Bone | 6 | 1 or 2 |
| Animal Fat | 2 | 0 |
| Animal Hide | 1 | 0 |
| Wool | 2 | 0 |

As with other Animals (except the Crocodile), the health stat of the Sheep can be customized in the AI section of the game's loading screen settings.
