Metal Stove in activated state cooking food

The Metal Stove is a device for cooking basic and advanced foods. Before players can craft the Metal Stove, they must first find the associated Technology Blueprint.

The Metal Stove has a receptacle for fuel and 4 heating plates that can hold Pots or Pans.
 • To light the Metal Stove, the player must activate the Metal Stove (default: E) and drag Fuel from the Inventory to the fuel receptacle. The Player must then drag the Lighter to the fuel to start a fire.
 • To place a Pot or a Pan on the Metal Stove, the player must activate the Metal Stove and drag a pot or pan from the Inventory to one of the free heating plates.
 • To remove an empty pan from the Metal Stove, the player need only press E when looking at the pan.
 • To remove food from a pan, the player must activate the Metal Stove and drag the food out of the pan.
 • To remove a pot from the Metal Stove the player must activate the Metal Stove and drag the pot off the heating plate. If there is soup or water in the pot, the soup or water disappears when the pot is dragged from the Metal Stove.
 • Raw food or ingredients can be added to a pot or pan on the Metal Stove by activating the Metal Stove and dragging the ingredients to the pot or pan.
 • The player can boil water on the Metal Stove by activating it and dragging a Flask or Large Flask full of dirty water onto an empty pot. Once the water is boiled clean, the player can fill the Flask or Large Flask with clean water by activating the Metal Stove and dragging the empty flask over the pot of clean water.

A fully fueled Metal Stove will burn for 66 minutes, in real time.

The Metal Stove must be placed on a foundation or ceiling. It does not require shelter to prevent its fire from extinguishing in the rain.

The recipe for the Metal Stove is found in the Placeables section of the Build Menu under Food.
