The Iron Fragment is an important resource that can be obtained in four ways:
• Smelting a Small Stone in a Stone Forge or a Brick Forge.
• Looting Villages and Infected enemies.
• Extraction from any any area outside of a Cave using a Mineral Extractor.
• Crushing Small Stones in a Stone Grinder.
The act of smelting a stack of 5 Iron Fragments on a Stone Forge or a Brick Forge will yield 1 Iron Ingot.
