The Ceiling is a basic ceiling component used in construction. In order to build it, there must be a completed wall or ceiling piece to attach it to. Alternatively, it can be placed on or attached to the top of constructed poles. Once a ceiling is built, a wall can be built on top of it to create a multiple-storied structure.
The recipe for the Wooden Ceiling is found in the Construction section of the Build Menu under Ceilings.

A damaged Ceiling can be repaired using an equipped Stone Hammer and can be upgraded by hitting it with the equipped Upgrade Tool.
A sufficient number of appropriate resources must be in the player's inventory for the repair or upgrade process to work.
