Blueprint Checklist in Player's Inventory

Blueprint Checklist in Player's Inventory

Certain advanced items in the game require special know-how to craft them. The player acquires the necessary expertise by locating the associated Technology Blueprints that spawn in the Villages on the Map. Technology Blueprints that are found have the appearance of blank pages of a book and they are lying on some piece of furniture.

When a player finds a blueprint and picks it up with the activation key (by default "E"), a green checkmark is superimposed upon the icon of the related technology in the list of the Technology Blueprints in the player's Inventory. The player is then able to craft the advanced item associated with the technology. Technologies that have not yet been found have a red X superimposed on their icon in the list of the Technology Blueprints.

There are 14 different technologies in the game that require obtaining the associated Technology Blueprint in order to craft them.

Distribution of Technology Blueprints[]

There are approximately 17 villages (groupings of houses) in the game and each of these villages hosts 0-2 Technology Blueprint pages. It is up to the player to discover how many spawn in each village. The blank blueprint pages spawn at the beginning of a new game and always spawn in the same place.

Once the player has picked up one of these pages (default E), the game will assign a random technology to the page that the player hasn't yet found. So although the location of the pages is static, the technologies assigned to the pages are random.

To make it easier to find all the Technology Blueprints, a total of 22 blank technology pages spawn at the beginning of a new game, although there are only 14 technologies. Once the player has found all 14 technologies, the remaining unneeded blueprint pages will despawn.

Finding Technology Blueprints[]

Technology Blueprints are hidden out in the open in the villages and they are easy to spot.

v. 5.0Addition of small villages (replaced the military camps) There are now 3 villages on the map and each contain 3 to 4 tech blueprints (10 BPs in all). Tech BPs now automatically get read and the tech is learned, no more needing to place the book in a tech slot. Number of blueprints incresed from 9 to 10 with the addition of the Wind Turbine.
IRTechnology Blueprints included in the initial early access release of the game. On the original game map there were 9 military camps and in each camp the player could find one technology blueprint.
